Pharmacy technician course in new jersey


The Pharmacy Technician program is an entry level program that introduces a student into a role of the pharmacy technician. A student will learn ethics and law, principles and protocols of a pharmacy, pharmaceutical standards, common medication, drugs, generic and brand name drugs, proper inventory and labeling of drugs, how to read prescriptions, risk to benefit relations, common mathematical pharmaceutical calculations how to read medication labels, how common medications affect the body, proper tiling of drugs order, telephone etiquette, how to work with medical/ healthcare facilities, HIPAA and confidentiality regulations, pharmaceutical calculations, and the role of the pharmacy technician in pharmacy. A gradate of this program can seek employment in a pharmacy and/ or pharmaceutical company.

  • Pre-requisites for Admission: GED/High school diploma
